Staying at Philippeio felt cute. The hosts, Panagiotis and Marianna, made everything comfortable. The views from my spacious Double Room balcony were fine, especially during sunrise. Breakfast stood out with homemade jams, and the selection included mouth-watering local dishes. The room was always clean and well maintained. I appreciated that the hotel layout is very convenient, with easy access for everyone. The bed linens looked a bit worn and could be refreshed for a better guest experience. The drive to Kavala and nearby beaches took time, so a car is essential for exploring. This tranquil spot is a gem for a calming getaway, but improvements in the room maintenance and beach access could elevate the experience much more.

It's a trek to Kavala and the nearest beaches, so having a car is a must if you're planning to explore the coastal spots, even though the drive is pleasant. The insect repellent devices placed throughout the room feel a bit off, especially for families with little ones. While the hotel has its charm, it could improve on a few practical aspects.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time here, especially the delicious breakfast spread that featured local specialties and the cozy atmosphere in the rooms. There's a lovely sun terrace and a peaceful garden that were perfect for relaxation after a day of exploring. Just keep in mind that it's a bit of a drive to get to the nearest beaches, but it's totally worth it! 😊

There were limited amenities available, with the pool and gym closed for the season. the room was a bit cramped, making it difficult to move around with luggage.
